Bio

John Lupe is an artist currently residing in Denver, Colorado. Born and raised in Arvada, John went on to receive both his BFA and MFA from University of Colorado at Boulder. He then moved to New York City to pursue a career in the arts, working as a freelance magazine illustrator for publications such as New York Magazine, and Psychology Today and was a recipient of the Desy Award. During his time in New York he also spent nine years teaching at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School. John eventually moved back to Denver Colorado to teach jewelry making at Regis College and shortly after began work at the Denver Art Museum as the Manager of Installations. He retired from his position after 28 years of employment and is now committing the majority of his time to his artwork.
